Product Assembler Responsibilities
Job Brief
We are looking for a careful Cabinet/ furniture Assembler to assemble, package and move material around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift as well, with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job will involve assembly of merchandise, driving around warehouses with forklift, packaging, loading/unloading, etc.
You must be a responsible individual with great experience in assembling cabinet/ furniture, following instructions, driving industrial vehicles, etc. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be ready at the right time and place to achieve maximum efficiency.
Assembler Job Duties
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Cabinet/ Furniture Assembler
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Excellent physical condition and coordination
- Must have experience with forklifts
- High school diploma preferred
- Spanish and English language preferred
- Strong Communication Skills
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs boxes
- Must have transportation.
